Anthony Kueppers
- Research Postgraduate Student
Anthony is a PhD candidate. His dissertation is titled “Suffering Together, Struggling Apart: Affective Circulation in Neoliberal Universities.” From inside a Hong Kong university, he writes about what institutions ask people to feel and what becomes visible when those demands are refused. His other work addresses outcomes-based teaching and learning in Hong Kong as an audit regime that calls itself pedagogy, the death of the lecture and the stillborn dialogue that replaced it, and the displacement of theory by proceduralized methods in the humanities and social sciences.
Research interests: affect and higher education, affective infrastructure, affective refusal, feminist theory, critical pedagogy and its critics, doctoral education, autoethnography, composite narratives.
