Brief description:
This workshop aims to empower participants with basic ideas and principles on how to use these AI-powered tools in students’ assignments and projects. The workshop will cover the following aspects, including a) a brief introduction to generative AI and its applications at HKBU, such as text generation, and image generation, b) hands-on training on using generative AI tools, c) sharing best practices and tips for training and deploying generative AI models effectively, d) discuss on ethical considerations and potential risks associated with generative AI. The workshop will equip participants with a solid understanding and some basic skills to leverage generative AI libraries effectively and responsibly in their work.
Speaker bio:
May Wong serves as an Information Services Librarian at HKBU Library. Graduated from Charles Sturt University with a Master’s in Information Studies (MIS), May channels her education into guiding patrons through the vast sea of information. Her role encompasses educating users, managing collections, and embracing technology to enhance the library’s offerings, ensuring that the community at HKBU has access to tailored research support and a wealth of digital resources.
