Lee Chi Shing is a PhD Candidate in Cultural Studies at Chinese University of Hong Kong. His research interests include anarchism, community politics, environmental humanities, Hong Kong Studies, masculinity studies, queer theory, and cultural studies at large. His doctoral dissertation examines the relationship between anarchism and the commons by studying the development of the Sixties’ anarchism in post-Sixties Hong Kong. He has taught at various tertiary institutions in Hong Kong, including Hong Kong Baptist University, Lingnan University, and the Community College of Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His recent publication is “The Utopian Homeland: New Left Internationalism, Diasporic Chinese Nationalism, and Anarchism in Hong Kong, 1969–1973” in The Global Sixties: An Interdisciplinary Journal. Part of his research also appears in the podcast series Anarchist Essays, hosted by Loughborough University’s Anarchism Research Group (ARG).
