Radhika Vang Jensen is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Humanities and Creative Writing, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at the Hong Kong Baptist University (2023-). Her dissertation centres on topics of Indian postcolonial queer cinema, feminist and queer politics, feminist and queer filmmaking, and the ways that Hindu nationalism co-opts queer rights movements into nationalist discourse, resulting in propagations of queerness and queer rights in India. However, Radhika’s research interests extend beyond the region of India. They also include European cinema, US cinema, World cinema, South Asian and Southeast Asian cinema, migration/postmigration, post/de-colonization, Film production, and questions of home and belonging.

Originally from India but raised in Copenhagen, Denmark, Radhika holds an MA and BA in in Film and Media Studies from the University of Copenhagen, and a BA in Cultural Encounters combined with Social Sciences from Roskilde University.

Radhika has directed and produced two short documentary films: MELSAME (2019) and My Name? Charlie (2018), which both take up issues of being in-between cultures and languages, belonging and home, gender and sexuality, migration/postmigration, and LGBT+.
